10oz Flask

I went through some of the complaints about what some call the “case” or “sleeve”. This accessory is neither. The black removable cup, fits over the screw cap, should be a clue. This was designed as a container to carry alternative to water liquids (otherwise known as alcohol). One measures the alcohol out with the cap attachment (it holds one traditional jigger measurement), then pours it into the larger cup (some call it a sleeve or case). Then mixes it with Coke, Dr Pepper, water, etc. BEHOLD, a mixed alcohol beverage!

BEST Commuter/EDC bottle because of EZ slip sheath!

A lot of comments about the sheath/sharing cup not staying attached to the flask. For my application, carrying hydration in a crowded EDC or laptop bag, having the sharing cup stay in place in the bag for easy return of the tapered flask is a definite win that is not offered by any other manufacturer like those A5 designs. Jamming the oasis or cylinder bottles into a bag that has clothing or electronics in it is a PITA. I Just wish the flask came in 450/500 ml and 750 ml with the same lightweight design. I currently carry two in the meantime or maybe will try the oasis with a Natick stove or cup for the same effect but a heavier solution.

I bought 2 and loved them, and have had many people question where they are from/where to get them (& was I drinking straight vodka from it 😂). Loved them until the cap detached from one and went missing 😔
It was in the side pouch of my bag, and I have never had this issue with any other bottle.
Unable to find a replacement cap.
I always had both bottles filled when out for the day, and can now only use one. Would recommend having the cap attached as other bottles have.

This is the second time I purchased this flask. I really like it for its slim profile; it fits nicely inside a jacket pocket and isn’t too noticeable. However, like a few others who have written reviews, the fact that the outer case does not fit snugly is an annoyance. I’ll still give it 5 stars, but some simple redesign is warranted if Nalgene really feels the case to be necessary. I don’t think it’s necessary. I fixed the issue by placing a few self-stick felt pads on the inside of the case, close to the top edge. That seems to do the trick to keep the case on the flask itself.

Just stick one in your pocket, go outside and have fun. This bulk-free bottle shape is absolutely the best.

Have had several nalgene bottles over many years, and have enjoyed and had no issues with any, also happy with speedy service when ordering direct from nalgene. Needed a smaller footprint bottle for a certain bag I carry sometimes so I ordered the flask for that purpose (size was perfect). I noted 1 complaint from customer Shari B about outer case and figured that must be a 1 off instance. Not the case! Ordered Blue Flask and outer case will not come close to staying on bottle.
Thought nalgene would have a Quality Control dept. that would follow up/thru on issues but guess not. I hope to continue to use nalgene products and this sort of issue is not indicative of products to come.

Worked extremely well for years, but now it’s extremely difficult to pull-up/open the out-flow “valve”

I love this flask. It’s a great size and the cap works really well.

I don’t understand the purpose of the outer case. The flask itself is well made. It seems to be an extra thing to deal with , extra weight, and extra plastic

Love this flask. Keep it in my golf bag with my favorite “birdie juice.” This is the only flask I’ve ever used that didn’t leak all over the place.

Work fantastic for all your flask needs

I bought a blue flask at REI several years ago because it was the perfect size for my travel needs. I got it home and enthusiastically slid the blue outer protective casing down to remove the cardboard product info card and wash the item before use. After washing, I learned to my dismay, the outer blue casing would no longer stayed on the inner flask without that piece of cardboard! That left me with three choices:
1. use the flask without the outer protective case. (Didn’t want it all scratched up)
2. keep a piece of cardboard between the inner
and outer layers (tacky)
or
3. Put the flask aside and just accept it was defective.
So I hid it in a drawer and forgot about it until it was recently re-discovered. Still being upset about my bad purchase I decided to reveal the flaw in an online product review.
There you have it.
I would NOT recommend this flask.
